FLAHAVAN'S

A FOOD ADVERTISING DESIGN CHALLENGE

Flahavan’s is Ireland’s oldest private family-owned food company, with a history dating back over 200 years. It has been milling quality Irish oats for over seven generations in Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford. The family is the Flahavan brand, and time and again it has chosen TOTEM to find design solutions.

Producing Ireland’s favourite porridge brings a need for a diverse range of design solutions to drive your food branding strategy; including advertising, bus shelter and outdoor advertising, recipe brochures and in-house posters and signage.

A FOOD BRANDING SOLUTION

At TOTEM, we love the challenge of bringing your brand to life across different mediums and food service marketing communications. We first establish where the adverts or food service signs sit within driving your overall food service marketing strategy.

Recently we worked on developing an inspiring brochure design that showcased some of Mary Flahavan’s favourite Oat based recipes, for example. The booklet’s success lay in designing food photography to emphasise the appetising recipes, accompanied with clear, elegant and functional typography that reflected their simple nature.

Whether you’re looking for outdoor advertising experts that can drive sales and awareness for your food marketing campaigns, or you’re looking to inspire your customers to engage with your brand in new and innovative ways, we can help.

“We have had a close working relationship with TOTEM for many years. We’re a family brand with a strong Irish identity, dating back over 200 years, but operating in a competitive 21st century marketplace. Colin and his team get that. They understand our brand, and our company requirements. They can provide a host of design solutions too, from point of sale advertising, to outdoor executions to recipe booklets. What’s great about TOTEM is that they grasp the brief quickly, their people are easy and flexible to work with, and they have that important eye for design detail.”
