TOTEM was required to completely revamp the Tannery website. The decision to embark on a restaurant website rebranding project and approach a branding agency for restaurants, like Totem, was taken for two reasons. The first was to reflect the growing international profile of chef Paul Flynn and to reflect that in the Tannery’s restaurant branding. The second was to improve the online journey for customers – to ensure that users had a positive and memorable experience.

It was Paul and Máire Flynn’s love for Scandinavian design that influenced the minimal look and feel chosen for the site. Their desire to really show a fresh restaurant marketing approach, led us towards a focus on beautiful photography on the Home Page that showcased their restaurant’s award winning food in a simple yet vibrant way.
At each step, we had the user in mind. We created an easy to navigate booking system for the Townhouse and Cookery School, ensuring that every touchpoint on the site offered a positive and engaging experience that would help develop a memorable connection to the brand.
